Argyll Adventure Academy of Natural Horsemanship

It's our goal to reach all levels of horsemen/horsewomen to develop safer, affordable, informative, step by step user friendly career training and education planning for the equine professional. Our personal approach creates a relaxed and positive atmosphere conclusive to learning, setting the student up for a successful and lasting career in the equine industry.

If you truly love horses and have an interest in natural training for horse and rider you will love the Argyll Adventure Academy of Natural Horsemanship. Argyll Adventure provides a clear and easy path to achieve extraordinary results. Having studied under some of the best natural horsemen of our time, John & Dilla Patrick have created their own signature training program. Each student benefits from the Academy's decades of hard work which has resulted in clarity and structure with meaningful industry recognised qualifications from the British Horse Society (BHS).

Intensive Programme
This one to four year intensive volunteering study programme is run in a relaxed, friendly, family atmosphere, with strong emphasis on natural horsemanship, natural riding, teamwork, teaching, leadership and organisational skills. The length of time will depend on how far you wish to progress through the program. The volunteer students are exposed to every aspect of running a livestock business including the farm diversification projects and previous experience is not necessarily required. Volunteer students are however required to be self motivated, presentable and capable of supporting themselves financially. Currently there is no charge for the program. We will provide free tuition, accommodation and meals during your volunteering study programme but we will not cover any other personal expenses. Many students to-date have gained professional British Horse Society (BHS) qualifications during their volunteering study programme. Please note this is not a hotel or a leisure riding holiday. This is real work experience on a British Horse Society (BHS) Place to Train Riding and Activity Centre. Places are limited please email your CV and include a recent photo. We would like to know why you should be considered for the position and proposed start date. Placements are for a year initially and will be extended if felt beneficial to both parties.

Short Term Programme
We also have limited opportunities for horse lovers aged sixteen and over to gain practical experience in six months through the summer. Places are limited and the volunteering program includes free room and meals, the opportunity to improve your riding skills and "hands on" experience with quality horses and top professionals. You will be required to assist with the other activities when required. To apply please email your CV and include a recent photo. We would like to know why we should consider you for this position and your proposed start date.
